Prince George residents were in a giving mood this holiday season.
Over $68,000 was raised in support of the United Way of Northern BC’s Tree of Lights campaign.
This surpassed the non-profit’s original fundraising target of 50-thousand dollars.
The money will support social service programming in the city.
“Wow! Thank you, Prince George! This community continues to amaze us. The incredibly generous people and organizations in our Northern BC community always show up when it’s needed for their friends, family, and neighbours. This response to our Tree of Lights campaign truly demonstrates the amazing things we can do together, and through the proceeds from this campaign, the local agencies and people that will be impacted is beyond measure,” said Trista Spencer, Executive Director.
