Spruce Kings fall in battle between the pipes

It was a battle of the goalies in last night’s game between the Prince George Spruce Kings and Cranbrook Bucks.

The contest would eventually come down to who cracked first, Jordan Fairlie for the Spruce Kings, or Nathan Airey for the Bucks.

Neither goaltender let a single shot past them in regulation, with the game needing to be settled in overtime.

Bauer Morrissey found Noah Quinn, who put the puck past Fairlie to win the game for Cranbrook.

Quinn was awarded the first star for the game-winning-goal. The second and thirds stars went to Airey (24 save shutout) and Fairlie (30 saves) respectively.

The two teams will go at it again tonight in Cranbrook, with puck drop at 6:00 pm.
