BC is reporting 3,798 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the province to 29,967 active cases.
179 of today’s new cases were in the North, bringing the region to 750 active cases.
317 individuals are in hospital, 83 of them are in intensive care.
92% of eligible people 12 and older have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, 89.3% have received a second, and 21.5% have received a third.
Since yesterday’s update, no new deaths have been reported in the province.

In the past 24 hours, no new deaths have been reported, for an overall total of 2,427.
From Dec. 28 to Jan. 3, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 16.2% of cases, and from Dec. 21 to Jan. 3, they accounted for 51.4% of hospitalizations.
