Prince George road crews are dealing with a water main break.
It occurred between 7 and 7:30 this morning (Wednesday) on 5th Avenue between Watrous and Melville, closing the road to all traffic.
Spokesperson, Mike Kellett told MyPGNow.com with the deep freeze we’ve experienced so far, it’s just par for the course.
“Crews are still working at this point to get the water turned off but they expect to have it all done by the end of the day. Water main breaks like this are fairly common during extreme weather events like the one we have been having.”
Residents are being asked to take a detour.
Once the main is repaired, the streets division will be called in with plows to even up the road and get rid of any ice.
