CNC receives government grant for students with disabilities

The Province of BC is providing some new funding for the College of New Caledonia.

$50,000 will be going towards the development of training and resources for in demand occupations for students with disabilities.

Prince George – Valemount MLA Shirley Bond says the CNC funding is just a fraction of the Provincial wide efforts:

“Across the Province we are allocating $1.3 million dollars to 20 public post-secondary institutions”

Bond says this will also reach out to people who are under represented in the workforce, including First Nations. Making sure they are looking for ways for all British Columbians to be in line for jobs in the Province.
