McKinnon throws her name into School District 57 by-election ring

Audrey McKinnon is on the election trail once again.

No, it won’t be for the Cariboo-Prince George federal riding, but, it will be for one of the two vacant seats in the upcoming School District 57 by-election.

McKinnon, who lost to incumbent Todd Doherty in the September 20th election, made the announcement on Twitter today (Tuesday) as the nomination period got underway.

SD 57 will be holding the by-election on Saturday, January 15th  following the resignations of former board chair Trent Derrick and vice-chair Shuirose Valimohamed in September.

One trustee from the Mackenzie area while another from the PG area will be elected.

The nomination period ends on December 10th.

McKinnon earned just over 20% of the vote in September’s federal election.
