An assisted living facility in Prince George is now the site of a COVID-19 outbreak.
According to Northern Health, two lab-confirmed cases among residents have been detected at Laurier Manor.
All residents are being asked to take extra precautions, including reducing visitors and social interactions.
Individuals who have tested positive and their close contacts have been asked to self-isolate in their units.
In addition, common rooms have been closed and increased cleaning is being performed.
All residents and staff are being closely monitored for symptoms; social visits are temporarily suspended, and activity programs are placed on hold.
However, essential visits can continue.
The outbreak declaration will be in place for at least 28 days.
