A bus was recently destroyed in a fire at Cedars Christian School in Prince George, but the school’s Principal is thankful for the support from the community.

The bus is completely unusable, and damage was done to the nearby building.

“You realize you’re part of a community that really does believe in what you’re doing and is willing to come alongside when things get tough for you,” said Principal Shane Nelson.

He said they received calls from organizations like Diversified Transport and Ness Lake Bible Camp, who offered up buses and drivers if they were needed for events or field trips.

“It’s pretty cool to see the outpouring of generosity there from those two places for sure, and just a number of other people hearing about the story saying is there a way we can donate to help out with any transportation needs in the short term.”

If you have any information pertaining to the bus fire, you’re asked to call RCMP.
