Cousins to be replaced by PGDTA First Vice President

A changing of the guard has occurred for the Prince George District Teacher’s Association.

Current President Tina Cousins has decided not to run for a second term and Vice President Richard Giroday has been elected president.

Cousins says the last four years have been emotional.

“I believe that now is the time to head back into the classroom after being our for four years,” says Cousins, “and I got into the profession for teaching, and I’m looking forward to heading back and working with kids.”

Cousins says the biggest highlight being president was helping members.

She says its time for someone else’s voice to be heard and advocate for teachers and students.
