Games get good grade from PGers

It looks like PG residents are happy with how the Canada Winter Games went.

A survey done by UNBC Political Science students shows that 51% of those polled thought the games were a good investment for the city. 26% disagreed.

Project Leader Grant Bachand says the survey also showed that residents want to see similar events hosted in the city.

“I got the sense that just talking to people at the table and the anecdotal response that they were giving me was they were liking it,” says Bachand, “that they thought it was a good thing, a lot of the participants were involved in the games and so that one didn’t surprise me at all.”

82% agreed that Prince George should host more events like the Canada Games in the future.

Bachand says students did the poll two weeks after the games had concluded.

393 people were polled in the survey that had a margin of error of 4.93%.
