The Prince George RCMP Emergency Response Team was called to conduct a search warrant on Monday evening where they uncovered multiple firearms.
According to PG RCMP Constable Jennifer Cooper, police executed the warrant at a residence on the 3000 block of Charella Drive that was in response to a weapons investigation.
“Due to the high-risk nature of the call, members of the Emergency Response Team and the Police Dog Services team joined Frontline police in executing the search warrant,” she explained.
Police remained at the location for several hours as they conducted their search.
“This investigation resulted in multiple firearms being taken off the street that otherwise might have been used to commit a criminal offense,” added Cooper.“The Prince George RCMP remains committed to removing firearms from those who are involved in criminal activity.”
