The BC River Forecasting Centre is out with its latest report on the snow pack in Northern BC.
Despite it feeling a bit warm and nice down here at ground level, Head of the Forecast Centre Dave Campbell says there’s been a delay with the snow melt while new snow has been packed on top.
He says the basin has increased from 136% of normal last month to 142% which does increase the risk of flooding, though it’s still unlikely.
He says if the weather stays cool with moderate precipitation, there probably won’t be much flooding but if warm rainy weather continues the risk of flooding increases.
