The 4th annual Girlfriends Who Care fundraising effort will be taking place this weekend.
Looking to raise funds for the Spirit of North Healthcare foundation, organizer Laura Hansen says she herself suffers from high blood pressure, and decided to raise awareness of the risks of heart disease:
“The Spirit of the North foundation would be the best way to put the money from the event that could do that, the money from the endowment could be used in educating professionals, those in healthcare, educating the public, and buying equipment for diagnostics purposes”
The evening will feature a spring fashion show from Qurvy Queen, entertainment from local singing talents, hand and arm massages, mini manicures, a fun photo booth and many shopping opportunities.
The event takes place this Saturday the 25th starting at 6:30 pm, Tickets are $55 each and can be found at the door, at Qurvy Queen, or at the Spirit of the North Healthcare office at the hospital.
