What appears to be a pre-election goodie basket was shown off in the House of Commons today. Finance Minister Joe Oliver tabled a balanced budget for 2015-16, but it didn’t stop there.
Oliver says there will also changes coming to TFSA contributions.
“We will increase the TFSA annual contribution limit from the current $5500 to $10,000.”
Other big items announced today include a reduction in the small business tax rate to 9% by 2019.
Also extending EI compassionate care leave will be extended from six weeks to six months.
