Council will look closer at tax rate structure

Prince George City Council will be taking a deeper look at setting the tax rate tonight.

A Committee of the Whole Meeting will be held tonight for councillors to approve a tax rate structure.

The City’s Financial Plan, that has been approved by council, has the tax levy requisition increase set at 2.50%.

Council now has to approve the amount of taxation each of the City’s property tax classes will provide.

The rate is set to be approved at the April 27th board meeting.
