Chocolate company raises the “bar” for protesting Enbridge

A BC chocolate company is raising the bar when it comes to protesting the Northern Gateway Pipeline.

Denman Island Chocolate and the Sierra Club have teamed up to sell the “Simply Dark Pull Together” candy bar.

Company President Daniel Terry says 40 cents from sales of the chocolate bars will go to a cause.

“To help finance First Nations legal battles in regards to the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline and the tankers associated with it,” says Terry, “and this will help with their legal funding, which is significant.”

The Nadleh Whut’en and the Nakazdli First Nations are two of the seven groups to get the money from the chocolate bar sales.

Terry says they are currently being sold in Lower Mainland stores, but you can go to www.pulltogether.ca to get a case of the bars.
