National Day for Truth and Reconciliation being observed in PG

The City of Prince George announced that it will be observing the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation on September 30th.

City Hall, the Service Centre, and Masich Place Stadium will be closed.

The CN Centre and the arenas, as well as garbage collection, will not be affected.

The BC Government marked the day on August 3rd, and the day is to commemorate the history and ongoing trauma caused by residential schools.

The day also honours those who were lost and the families and communities who continue to grieve.
