The 2022 World Women’s Curling Championship is approaching and volunteer applications for the event are now being accepted.
The event will take place at the CN Centre from March 19 to 27, and residents can apply to work the event in a variety of capacities including set-up and takedown, working in the stands during games and behind the scenes at various checkpoints.
Volunteers are also needed for a variety of media roles and assisting in keeping lounges stocked with refreshments and food.
Additionally, bartending and bussing positions also need to be filled for the World Famous Patch event at the Kin Centre that will be happening at the same time.
Anyone looking to help out with the event must be fully vaccinated and pay a $100 fee for training, venue access and access to live music at the Patch event.
Volunteers will also be invited to the volunteer appreciation party afterwards.
A minimum of 30 hours of service is required for the week-long event and volunteers must be at least 19 years old.
Applications can be sent on the World Women’s Curling Championship website.Â
