Education for tenants and landlords alike in free public info sessions

Whether you are a residential tenant, or an up and coming landlord, a free information session will be providing the do’s and don’ts for tenancy in Northern BC.

The sessions run from April the 20th through to May the 14th in numerous locations across Northern BC, and will look to inform the public on everything from rental agreements to leases, repairs, maintenance, and rent increases and eviction.

Nithya Mascarenas is a senior information officer with the governments residential tenancy branch, and says its good to be prepared in either situation:

“…and we are also seeing a lot of new landlords and tenants entering the rental market, and they are not always fully aware of their rights and responsibilities. So this is our way of doing some public education and helping those communities prepare for the economic course thats happening”

The tenancy public info sessions will be at many different locations around Northern BC, with full list of local times and venues as follows:
