A familiar face to Prince George Cougar fans is back in the WHL.
Today (Thursday), the Kamloops Blazers hired Mark Holick as Associate Coach.
He coached the Cougars from 2013-16 before being let go after the team was ousted by the Seattle Thunderbirds in the WHL Playoffs.
Holick joins the Blazers after spending the last three seasons coaching the Yale Hockey Academy’s U18 Prep team.
“I am very excited to be back in the WHL and join the Kamloops Blazers,” said Holick.
“Shaun (Clouston) has had a lot of success in this league and has done a great job with the Blazers. I am looking forward to working with Shaun and the players in helping them pursue their goals,” concluded Holick.
The Penticton product has over 25 years of experience as a coach in the AJHL, BCHL, WHL, AHL, and with Hockey Canada.
Holick also coached the Kootenay Ice from 2007-2010 where he was named WHL Coach of the Year in 2010.
