A wet and seasonal weekend looks to be on tap for Prince George.
A high of 20 degrees with a 30% of chance of showers is being predicted for today (Friday).
Environment Canada Meteorologist, Louis Kohanyi explained what the rest of the weekend has in store.
“It’s going to be a little warmer (on Saturday) with a high of 22 degrees but it’s going to stay unsettled as it’s going to be mainly cloudy with a 30% chance of showers and the winds are going to be southwest at 30 kilometres an hour in the afternoon.”
“It’s going to be quite a bit cooler on Sunday as we are looking at a high of 16 degrees with a 60% chance of showers.
Kohanyi added the predicted rain will continue to assist with the wildfire efforts as well as bring down the fire danger rating.
The cool front could last until Tuesday where the northern capital should see a return to sunny skies and warmer temperatures.
