3 new COVID-19 cases in the north

According to BC Health officials, 56.6% of adults in BC, and 53.2% of those 12 and up are now fully vaccinated from COVID-19.

79.9% of those 12 and up, and 80.9% BC adults got their first jab.

Over the past three days in BC, there were 156 new cases, with three in Northern Health:

  • July 16-17: 56 new cases
  • July 17-18: 60 new cases
  • July 18-19: 40 new cases

This means there are 653 active cases across the province, 33 of which are in the north.

Of the active cases, 49 people are currently in hospital and 12 are in intensive care.

In the last 72 hours, 2 COVID-19 related deaths were reported.

  • 27 new cases in Vancouver Coastal Health
    • Total active cases: 246
  • 58 new cases in Interior Health
    • Total active cases: 179
  • 63 new cases in Fraser Health
    • Total active cases: 166
  • four new cases in Island Health
    • Total active cases: 21
  • one new case of a person who resides outside of Canada
    • Total active cases: eight
