Finding a balance between the economy and the environment has been the focus of a recent round-table set up by the provincial government.
Its been a year since the panel was set up to help the government make sound decisions on those two topics.
United Steelworkers Local President Frank Everitt says a lot of the talk so far has been focused on LNG.
“There are a number of folks who believe you can have one or the other, you can’t have them together and we need to have them as a province together,” says Everitt, “so we have a broad based group of folks who will make advice for the province.”
Everitt says no recommendations from the round-table have been made.
He says the group is made up of representatives from industry, communities and Aboriginal groups.
