Water Lilies seeing more interest following Winter Games

The Prince George Water Lilies Synchronized Swim Club has been a little bit more interest since the Canada Winter Games.

While they aren’t actively taking registration, organizers have noticed people making more enquiries about the club.

President and Coach Nicole Barager says they started the club in 2013 with four participants.

“We’ve just grown from there, some have left, some have joined, we had our first competition that we travelled to Kelowna for in March,” says Barager, “and we’ve seen mostly returning swimmers.”

Barager says they will be holding a See It, Try It event on Saturday at the Aquatic Centre from 10:30 to 12 for those wanting to learn more about the sport.

They also plan on holding a summer camp in August.
