City crews are working to repair a 24-year-old broken valve on a water main on Ospika Boulevard between Tyner Boulevard and Davis Road.
Crews are also upgrading the water infrastructure at the site to improve water service in the area, causing the Northbound lanes of Ospika between Tyner and Davis to be closed.
The project could affect the water supply to more than 240 residences in the Charella Garden neighborhood.
The homes could experience some temporary fluctuations in water pressure until mid-July when the work is scheduled to be completed.
Motorists are being advised to seek alternate routes when possible and to drive cautiously around road crews.
