Early start to the golf season in PG

The Prince George golf season is in full swing.

Courses at Pine Valley and the PG Golf and Curling Club opened up on Friday much to local golfers delight.

PG Golf Club President Dan Martin says this is an early start to the season.

“According to Murray our head grreens keeper,” says Martin, “he’s been with the club for 20 plus years and this is the first time its ever opened this early on April 3rd.”

Martin says Friday was jam packed with tee times and the rain kept people away on Saturday, but the past two days have been full.

Staff at Pine Valley say they are just as busy.

Aberdeen Glen Golf Course is expected to open later this month.
