City of PG reminded of Spring open burning restrictions

With Spring now upon us, Prince George Fire and Rescue is reminding the public that the City of Prince George has a clean air bylaw in place.

This applies to open burning restrictions, where open burning (excluding recreational fires) is not allowed at any time on any property within municipal boundaries.

This includes the burning of grass, leaves, and tree material.

Changes have also been made to the use of recreational fires with respect to the bylaw and the reduction of emissions, as a recreational fire must be in a permanent outdoor fireplace or fire pit no bigger than 60cm in size, and an owner must extinguish all fires within an hour of an air quality advisory.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
