Police arrest violent robbery suspect in Prince George

A 28-year-old woman has been arrested by the Prince George RCMP following a string of violent robberies.

Just before 5:00 pm Wednesday (June 2nd), police received multiple calls about a female in the area of 20th Avenue and Victoria Street who was waving a handgun in the air and pointing it at passing vehicles.

Several victims also stated the woman physically assaulted them while they were in their cars.

Officers located the suspect at Redwood Avenue near Victoria Street and took her into custody.

Maureen Isaac-Johnson is facing a slew of charges from the BC Prosecution Service including:

– Robbery
– Possession of a weapon or an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose
– Use of an imitation firearm while committing a robbery
– Carry, use or threaten to use a weapon or imitation weapon
– Assault
– Pointing a firearm without lawful excuse
– Assaulting a Peace Officer

Police are familiar with Johnson and the investigation is ongoing.
