BC farmers and ranchers are pretty neutral when it comes to changes made to the agricultural land commission.
Last year the province changed the format of zoning where the province is now split into two zones, the Okanagan-Lower Mainland and the rest of the province.
BC Cattlemen’s Association General Manager Kevin Boon says the biggest change has come in the application process.
“They have to look at a few other things when they are considering an application,” says Boon, “such as the economic and the social impacts to an area.”
Boon says other than that change its business as usual when decisions on land changes are made.
He says they have received neither positive or negative feedback about the changes.
