Prince George boy sells $100 chocolate bars to meet Wayne Gretzky

A Prince George boy is selling chocolate bars to raise money for the BC Children’s Hospital and to meet his favourite hockey player.

Five year old Sanjai Sharma has been selling chocolate bars for 20 months for $2, but is now aiming to sell chocolate bars for $100 for B-C Children’s Hospital and has raised $7500 to date.

Sanjai’s Father Rajan says his son was treated at the hospital when he was seven months old.

“His brain was growing but his skull wasn’t so the pressure would build up in his brain,” says Sharma, “and they said nothing would happen as far as being blind and brain damaged but we got that fixed.”

Sanjai says his favourite memory of selling chocolate bars happened during the Canada Winter Games.

“Selling one to Dougie Dog.”

Sanjai hopes to sell his 99th chocolate bar to NHL star Wayne Gretzky.
