BC businesses continue to be optimistic

BC businesses continue to be the most confident in the country.

The Canadian Federation of Independent Businesses has noticed that BC’s small businesses are once again lead the country in optimism.

This is the results in the group’s monthly Business Barometer survey.

Vice President Richard Truscott says they are also positive about the future and the performance of their business.

“And also the economy and that’s great news,” says Truscott, “because that’s not the story in the rest of the country, we’ve seen the national index dive over the last few months and the Alberta one for instance has gone off the cliff, it’s down below 50 points.”

Truscott says this is because B-C has a diverse economy and businesses are more resilient than the rest of the country.
