The Big Swing Fore Kids golf tournament in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC is going to look a little different this year.
BBBS is hosting the tournament from June 1st through to June 30th.
“Last year our Glow in the Dark Golf Tournament sold out hours with a significant waitlist. This year we planned to hold the tournament twice, once in June and once in August. However, with the current restrictions in place we chose to cancel our June glow tournament” said Jane Gauthier, BBBS Communications Manager.
Once registered on the BBBS website, each team will receive a gift certificate for a round of golf at Pine Valley and for dinner at Mr. Mikes.
Teams can schedule multiple times to golf anytime in June, once the 9 hole round is completed the team must send their scorecard (s) into BBBS, registration is $200.
“For those interested in the 3rd Annual Glow in the Dark Tournament. Don’t worry the event is scheduled to return in August as long as restrictions allow” added Gauthier.
All funding from the tournament will go towards BBBS programming, including their new Connect Golf program, which matches a small group of kids with a mentor to participate in golf lessons with an instructor throughout the summer.
