City of Prince George staff have found a few extra dollars to work with.
In its Final 2015-2019 Financial Plan Review, an extra $200,000 in operational funds and $400,000 in capital funds were found.
Deputy Financial Officer Kris Dalio says this comes after getting the final numbers for traffic fine revenue.
“And the province has now given us the actual number that we can expect to receive for traffic fine revenue in 2015,” says Dalio, “and it came in at about $200,000 higher than what we had estimated in 2014.
Dalio says the extra capital funds are from extra gas tax revenue.
He says this will go to sidewalk rehabilitation and park upgrades.
