Prince George set for first warm spell of spring season

Environment Canada says it will be perfect patio weather in Prince George this week as temperatures could reach as high as 19 degrees.

A ridge of high pressure is bringing the warm air to the central interior, which will help push daily highs into the mid to high teens.

Meteorologist, Lisa Erven told MyPGNow.com now is the perfect time to dress a little more casually.

“For myself, as soon as we get into the mid-teens I like to break out the shorts. I’d say it’s time to break out some of that more spring wardrobe as we get into the latter half of the week.”

“Each day, we are going to see mainly sunny conditions and with each subsequent day a little bit more heat. We aren’t quite going to hit record-breaking temperatures for the Prince George area but it’s going to feel very, very nice as we head towards the latter half of the week.”

Overnight lows are expected to be above the freezing mark by Wednesday.
