No active community outbreaks in north after Brucejack Mine declared COVID-19 free

The final community outbreak in Northern Health has been declared over — marking a positive milestone in the region.

It’s the first time the health authority has not had an active outbreak since November 3rd.

The outbreak at Brucejack Mine, north of Stewart, saw 51 total cases.

No new cases have been reported since February 21.

One person has died as a result of the outbreak, declared on February 10.
