Northern BC Crime Stoppers received 997 tips in 2020, up from the 700 tips received in 2019.
31 arrests were made and $2,400 in cash incentives were given out as a result of the tips.
Additionally, $154,000 worth of property and drugs along with $7,500 in cash was recovered.
This year, the annual Community Shred-It fundraiser held in Prince George raised a record amount of funding of over $5,000.
Northern BC Crime Stoppers serves over 34 communities in the North and accepts tips from as far as the Yukon and Alberta borders.
In 2020, the program changed its name from PG Crime Stoppers to ensure Northern BC residents know it is available outside of Prince George.
By the end of the month, Northern BC Crime Stoppers will be showcasing a new logo, website and mascot.
Northern BC Crime Stoppers is reminding the public that when providing tips to be as detailed as possible and remember and all methods are completely anonymous.
