A total of 12 cases of COVID-19 have been reported at Jubilee Lodge in Prince George.
The outbreak was declared on Monday (December 12), following three lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 among staff and residents.
To date, there have been eight lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases among Jubilee Lodge residents, and four staff cases.
“Communication with Jubilee Lodge staff, residents, and families is ongoing,” said Northern Health Spokesperson Eryn Collins.
“Northern Health continues to take steps to protect the health of all Jubilee Lodge staff and residents. Enhanced control measures are in place, as well as additional supports for the facility to address quality, answer questions from staff, residents and family, and to provide active checks of symptoms with staff and residents,” she added.
Enhanced outbreak control measures include:
• Increased screening
• Cleaning and infection control measures have been enhanced
• Staff and resident movement in the facility has been restricted
• Temporary suspension of social visits
