After Devastating fire, local business finds its legs

A Prince George business is back on its feet after a disastrous fire.

Mother’s n’ More Maternity is up and running again after a blaze ravaged its storefront property on George Street last year. Now, the store is now being run out of Owner Carri Hunter’s home on Avison Place.

Hunter says they wanted to keep things going, as they put their heart and soul into the original business:

“When we [first] moved it out of my house and downtown, it was really disappointing to see it burn so quickly. So we went through insurance and got everything organized and started back up”

Hunter says shoppers now come by appointment, and she’s started to expand into Online Sales as well.

The May 2014 fire on George Street saw Mother’s n’ More and the original Copper Pig BBQ House go up in flames, with Police still unable to determine a cause.
