Drivers asked to make a safe left turn

As the sunny weather sets in, ICBC along with the RCMP and BC government are launching a new safety campaign. The groups are asking drivers to take time to make a safe left turn. ICBC Road Safety Delivery Manager Jill Blacklock says left turns may seem harmless, but its a high risk driving behaviour that leads to car crashes.

Blacklock says 60% of all crashes happen at intersections. She says this is where most of the enforcement around safe left turns will occur.
