Family and friends of Eva Mitchell continue to search for answers after the 16th anniversary of her disappearance.

Mitchell was last seen in the Kelly Lake area the morning of August 20, 2004 by a family member.
She was known to walk in the wilderness to pick berries without telling anyone, and was reported missing that evening after she failed to return home.
Between August 21 and August 30, 2004 a search comprised of over 500 people was conducted in the Kelly Lake area including the use of two RCMP helicopters, police dogs, swimming searchers, and ground search and rescue teams from across BC.
Eva MITCHELL is described as;
– Indigenous
– 83 years old at the time of her disappearance
– Approximately 5″0, 130 lbs
This investigation remains active and ongoing with the Dawson Creek RCMP.
