Prince George City Council will be hearing a report at tonight’s (Monday) meeting to decide how to move forward with liquor establishments under the pandemic.
The report recommends Council approves the extension of the Temporary Expanded Service Area Authorizations until October 31, 2021.
In the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Provincial Health Officer provided protocols for residents to implement.
Physical distancing continues to be recommended and has an effect on the number of patrons an establishment, such as a restaurant or pub, may have.
Therefore, the Liquor Control and Regulation Board has provided an opportunity for a licensee to temporarily expand its existing service area.
On June 15, Council pre-approved the TESA authorization for liquor primary and manufacturing establishments.
