The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George is inviting the public to assist in building a ten-year revision plan for regional parks.
A survey has been released to the public, asking takers to provide their opinion on what they value, appreciate or have concerns with for the 11 parks throughout the region.
“We want to see what changes the public wants, whether that’s changes to the current inventory of parks that we have or if there’s potential to create additional park space,” says Renee McCloskey, Manager of External Relations for Regional District.
The survey is just a small part of the revision process, which is expected to continue to at least next year.
“We know that things with the parks could always be different and evolving so we are urging the public to take the survey to help shape our plans,” added McCloskey.
To assist with the plan, the district will also be meeting with different stakeholders and user groups.
The survey will be posted until September 30.
