The City of Prince George will be honouring one of the oldest businesses in the city.
At the 100th Anniversary dinner on Friday, March 6th, McInnes Lighting will be awarded with the “Heritage Places” award after 95 years of service downtown.

According to the city, some of the few business that pre-date McInnes Lighting include:
– The Hudson’s Bay Company (trading post established here in 1807 by Simon Fraser and named “Fort George,” in honour of England’s King George III)
– The Prince George Citizen (established in 1916)
– The Northern Hardware & Furniture Company Limited (established 1919)
