Two men nabbed by PG police after eventful pursuit

Two men were arrested by the Prince George RCMP today (Friday) following a sequence of events downtown.

Just after 12pm, officers attempted to execute a traffic stop with a vehicle near the corner of Victoria Street and 15th Avenue (Patricia Blvd) where it was associated with a person that had outstanding arrest warrants.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle fled down Victoria Street with police choosing not to pursue the vehicle.

Moments later, Mounties received a report of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 8th Avenue and Vancouver Street.

Officers attended and found the suspect’s vehicle had collided with another.

The driver fled on foot and went into another vehicle being driven by someone else.

It was located near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Victoria Street and once it was stopped, two men, aged 32 and 41 were arrested.

The occupant of the second vehicle that was struck by the suspect was transported to hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

This investigation is ongoing.
