11 Prince George Tim Horton’s locations to participate in Camp Day

The annual Tim Horton’s Camp Day is tomorrow (Wednesday).

Restaraunt owners will be donating all proceeds from their hot and iced coffee sales to the Tim’s Foundation Camps.

The seven Foundation Camps across North America work to provide disadvantaged youth with a chance to attend summer camp.

“These camps help develop necessary skills to become a successful adult such as, academic performance, building relationships and physical and emotional wellbeing” said local Tim’s manager, Wende Bracklow.

Tim Hortons across Canada raised $12.2 million for the camps in 2019, Bracklow adds, “it would be awesome if we were able to do that as a whole.”

This year, the camps have moved online and will be lead by trained facilitators to guide group instruction and help campers build positive connections with peers from their community.

In addition to the camp’s shift online, Tim Horton’s also worked with the Federal Government’s Canada Summer Jobs Program to provide seasonal student counsellor roles.
