Recycling efforts in Prince George have been going well six months in.
Managing Director Allen Langdon says a significant portion of Prince George residents have been using their bins.
“About 60% of residents are putting out there containers, and we are getting lots of materials, so for the first few months of the program I think we are generally very happy with the results”
Langdon explained how there have been very few issues so far, saying residents are still trying to understand what kind of materials can go in the bins, and are occasionally putting them too close to Garbage containers.
He adds that Multi-Family homes will soon be seeing service as well, perhaps as early as April.
