A $1.15 million dollar berm will soon be set up Vanderhoof. The provincial and federal governments along with the District of Vanderhoof will all be pitching in money to build the flood barrier. Nechako Lakes MLA John Rustad says the level space will run along the Nechako River.
Rustad says the berm is expected to keep water from spilling over when the Nechako River runs high. He says construction of it will begin this year and be done for 2015.
