Update as of 4:30 P.M. today (Wednesday)
Prince George RCMP received a call shortly after noon today regarding a suspicious package next to Costco.
There was concern for the safety of people in the building along with neighbouring businesses, which led to the evacuation of the area.
Once it was confirmed the package did not pose a risk to public safety, businesses in the area were reopened.
Update as of 3:30 P.M. today (Wednesday)
Prince George RCMP are reporting the incident has been resolved.

Update as of 2:00 P.M. today (Wednesday)
Prince George RCMP are responding to an ongoing incident at Costco.
There are currently at least ten cruisers and approximately ten to twelve officers on the scene.
A portion of the parking lot is sectioned off.
The public is asked to avoid the area.
