Two arrested on drug warrant at 5th Avenue home

On Wednesday evening at around 5 P.M. officers with Prince George RCMP’s Downtown Safety Unit executed a warrant at a home on the 1200 block of 5th Avenue.

Two female occupants, a 28-year-old and a 35-year-old were arrested without incident.

The two were released pending further investigation and charge approval from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada.

Investigators located drugs including fentanyl, cocaine, and methadone in the residence, along with drug trafficking paraphernalia and cash.

Additionally, two BB guns, a pellet gun, and stolen personal identification were also seized.

This house drew police attention earlier this month on May 3rd after police attended to an aggravated assault.

An adult male was shot and suffered life-threatening injuries.

PG’s Serious Crime Section is investigating the incident, which is now being treated as an attempted murder.

“The two incidents are connected. It’s at the same location, and the same occupants of the location at the time of the attempted murder,” said Cpl. Craig Douglass, spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP.

The incident was targeted and related to the drug trade.
