Sections of Cottonwood Island Park flooded

The City of Prince George has closed sections of Cottonwood Island Nature Park due to rising water levels.

Barricades and signs have been installed on bridges throughout the park warning the public.

Sections of the park began to experience some flooding on Friday, although but the BC River Forecast Centre forecasts river levels will recede over the next few days.

Staff will closely watch river levels and will reopen closed sections of the park as soon as possible.
